Coastal Cool

 Habitat Editorial

A Coastal Cool Editorial was our very first magazine editorial that was inspired by endless summers spent poolside.  We wanted to come up with something on trend yet versatile for readers to incorporate what we put together using their own base outdoor pieces but jazz them up with accessories & smaller items. Inspiring our readers with confidence to re-create the look was simply put, what the habitat editorials are all about.  We put together a Creative concept and began designing our ‘Coastal Cool’ Editorial through Pinterest Boards, Pantone’s Colour of the Year & Magazine scrapbooking which then led us to sourcing the products from retail stores In Noosa .

Mister Mistress Art directed, Styled & Photographed the editorial for IN NOOSA MAGAZINE

The result was something a little fun, but with a cool, Summery style that captured the essence of the Sunshine Coast, a place of the sun & the sea. Find out more about our services here

A Habitat Editorial for “In Noosa Magazine” featuring outdoor furniture .

The editorial was approached to promote local retail shops featuring “Eclectic Style” and “Marx Furniture” along with “Blink Living” collectable items such as the vintage surfboard. A feature of alfresco living by the pool to inspire an outdoor space to brighten up your tired outdoor area.

“Turn your outdoor space into the place to be with pastel hues of the sun, minty green and blush colour palettes”

Create a fresh new space that is perfect for relaxing, dining and entertaining through the long, hot days ahead!

  • Emphasise your space through chunky base furniture pieces. Exterior grade timbers such as teak or white beech will weather naturally to a soft silvery grey chic & offer a traditional coastal vibe.
  • Textures and patterns work well with the coastal cool vibe as they add an extra dimension without the need for bold colour statements.
  • Oodles of lush greenery in oversized pots and wide leaves create that tropical paradise feel – perfect for our Queensland environment.
